About Us

On the Wentworth Drawing Board

Visualizing the unbuilt is an important part of home design and remodeling. At Wentworth, we help our clients visualize—to “see” what we have designed for them. To do this, we most often use 3D computer modeling. With computer-aided design (CAD), our professionals create interior and exterior perspectives to help clients understand the new home design and see how the addition will look, feel, and perform.

NW DC Home Expansion & Remodel

Examples of What We’ve Done for Past Remodels in the Washington, DC Area

Our client had lived in their 1958 brick Colonial home for 17 years when they came to Wentworth for an expansion and remodel. Located adjacent to Rock Creek Park in Washington DC, the neighborhood was experiencing development, with many homes being enlarged and remodeled. This homeowner felt it was time to do the same with an improved kitchen, expanded dining room, a renovated master suite, and an attic loft space. Our client felt it was important that the redesign give their house curb appeal and a more vertical presence to compete with other newly renovated houses on the street.

Kernahan Remodel - Rendering

Inspired by British architect CFA Voysey’s handsome residential work, the Wentworth design team developed this endearing historical façade with a steeply pitched gable roof, oriel window, grouped windows, and stucco treatment. The first- floor brick walls were aged with a patinated paint treatment. Check out the before and after photos below to see how we transformed this home.
