The center island work counter is shielded from view by the wraparound bar. The work area of the kitchen is defined by white cabinetry and dark granite countertops; the storage spaces are defined by cherry cabinetry and white quartz composite.

A magnetic whiteboard with a bespoke cherry frame was fabricated by Wentworth carpenters and incorporates a trough for marker storage.
Open storage cabinet provides a terminus to the island, and the blue Dacor range provides a focal point in the kitchen. A small side entry to the family room is defined by an inlay of variegated slate.
The dining room (adjacent to the kitchen) features built-in china cabinets on either side of a custom window seat. An unused door was removed and windows added to provide symmetry and bring in natural light. Arts & crafts wainscoting wraps the room and integrates with the custom built-ins and tapered columns. The green carpet and rosewood furniture provide color.

The cherry storage wall features a pullout recycling center and a charging drawer with USB outlets. A grommet inset into the countertop allows for a landline phone to be placed on the storage wall without cord clutter.

An existing door to the attic stair (shown closed) was creatively concealed behind a secret door integrated into the dining room wall paneling.
