Revisiting a Home: Repeat Client Spotlight (Pt 1)

For any business, there is no greater compliment than having a repeat client. Here at Wentworth, we love having the chance to remodel the same house twice! Revisiting a home and unlocking more design potential is like visiting an old friend—it’s always a great time.

Kitchen & Basement Remodel for a Cleveland Park Home

The Wentworth team had the honor of remodeling both the basement and kitchen of a 1920s semi-detached brick townhouse in Washington DC’s Cleveland Park neighborhood.

Kitchen Remodel – 2012

The family first came to us in 2012 to remodel their kitchen. The wall between the kitchen and dining room was opened to create space for a peninsula. In addition to the kitchen peninsula, the remodeled space features:

  • Stone countertops
  • White painted cabinetry
  • Tile Waterworks backsplash
  • Appliance garage to help countertops stay clutter-free
  • Salvaged oak wood floors

Basement Remodel – 2014

Our team was thrilled when the family came back to us for a basement reconfiguration in 2014. Their underutilized basement was partially finished but in disrepair, and they had three main goals with the remodel. The family wanted:

  1. A play room for their young child
  2. A design that could double as a guest room with a sofa bed
  3. Maximized storage where possible

Some features of the remodeled basement include a play area with mid-century modern custom cubbies and a custom built-in, a cozy corner with a built-in bed, and an updated bathroom.

Bathroom & Kitchen Remodel for a Southwest DC Home

The Wentworth team had the pleasure of completing a triple bath remodel and, later, a kitchen remodel for a brick end-unit, a three-level row house in Southwest Washington, DC.

Bath Remodel – 2007

The family first came to us in 2007 to remodel three bathrooms in their home. The master bathroom features a new custom shower stall with a glass tile border. The small guest bathroom features a new custom vanity. The third bathroom features a pedestal sink and new tub with glass tile borders as well.

Kitchen Remodel – 2013

The Wentworth team worked with the family again in 2013 when they returned to us for a kitchen renovation. We removed the walls and adjacent coat closet to create an open kitchen floor plan. The remodeled space features:

  • Custom marble island
  • Open shelving
  • Curved dropped ceiling to conceal ductwork and mirror new floor plan
  • Custom handmade backsplash by Exquisite Surfaces
