NKBA Annual Kitchen & Bath Design Competition

Every year, the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) holds a design competition for its members, where award winners can gain national media attention, special awards and cash prizes presented during a special ceremony, industry recognition, and design(s) featured in NKBA Magazine, on NKBA.org, and in the NKBA Booth at the 2017 Kitchen & Bath Industry show (KBIS).

For the ninth annual NKBA design competition, Bruce Wentworth was asked to participate as a member of the judging committee. Wentworth was invited by Home & Design magazine’s editor-in-chief, Sharon Jaffe Dan, to share this responsibility with designers Victoria Sanchez and Meghan H. Fox. Entries ranged from small, medium, and large kitchens and bathrooms to specialty rooms. The judges’ decisions will be announced at an Awards Ceremony on April 20, 2017, and winners will be published in the July/August issue of Home & Design magazine.

“ A number of the design elements I could easily envision from the plans and knew I would like, such as the arched French doors, window over sink, pantry. But others came to life for me only in the implementation. Standing in the doorway of the small bedroom, for example, is one of my favorite views; the arched cubby is beautiful. ”
