Master Suite Remodeling

A home addition we completed for a family in the Spring Valley neighborhood in NW Washington, DC included a beautiful new master suite.

The addition includes a remodeled kitchen and a new master suite on the top floor. It takes the place of a master bedroom and bath in the existing house. Changing the old master bedroom to a guest bedroom gave us extra space within the old house to create a central hall to the new suite and gave us room, as planned, for the washer and dryer. At the end of the hall, two steps up to the new master suite accommodated the difference in floor level that resulted from the 9-foot ceiling below.
