Wentworth Wins 2011 Chrysalis Award for Silver Spring, Maryland Exterior Remodeling Project

Wentworth, Inc. was recently named the National Winner of the 2011 Chrysalis Awards for Remodeling Excellence in the highly competitive Residential Exterior over $100,000 category. Since 1994, the Chrysalis Awards program has recognized the nation’s best remodeling work in sixteen general categories of residential and commercial remodeling.

Winning entries were selected from more than 400 entries, and entries were judged on overall design, the creative use of space and materials and the degree to which the project enhanced the original home’s structure. This Chrysalis award-winning project, which involved transforming the façade of a 1960s split-foyer home in Silver Spring, MD, also won a National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) CotY Grand Prize in the Residential Exterior Category.

We invite you to read more about the Chrysalis Awards and Wentworth’s award-winning project in the July 2011 issue of Qualified Remodeler magazine.

“ What appealed to the buyers…was the balance between the old and the new, the preservation of the original features of the house, set off by the new open and lighter look. A friend who showed the house to her cousin, an architect, told me that he liked the kitchen enormously and has used it to inspire his own designs. Highest form of flattery. ”
