The master bedroom features arts & crafts wall paneling and ceiling treatment. The full-height paneling, which acts as a backdrop for the bed, is mirrored on the opposite wall, and the ceiling treatment acts as a “canopy” bridging across the space. Newly enlarged windows capture garden views, and energy-efficient windows installed in existing openings flank the bed.

The full-height paneling projects 2 inches off the wall to create a backdrop for the headboard. A custom cherry bed and nightstands contrast with the painted walls.
The curved cabinet leads visitors toward the kitchen and family room beyond. The bar seating is further enhanced with a curved countertop.
Existing attic space above the family room was captured in a new vaulted and hipped ceiling treatment. Applied moulding recalls structural members and defines the shape of the vault. The rear windows were enlarged to improve the woodland views; small windows were replaced with more energy-efficient models.
A custom curved cabinet was fabricated by Wentworth carpenters to add display shelving adjacent to the home’s entry and provide a seamless transition from the front to the back of the residence.
The arts & crafts motif is repeated in the tapered columns at the dining and living rooms. Blue accents appear throughout the house in furniture and decorative elements.
The living room fireplace was embellished in an arts & crafts motif with new blue tile, stone hearth, and painted wood mantel. It is flanked by custom built-ins and art glass windows.
